Cuando OpenAI cambió GPT-4o por GPT-5 la semana pasada, se quemaron por ello.
No era nostalgia. Fue indignación por una degradación: GPT-5 se sintió más frío, más tonto y con menos aliento.
El jefe de ChatGPT, Nick Turley, admitió que matar a 4o sin previo aviso "fue un error". Sam Altman calificó a GPT-5 como "no tan molesto (para la mayoría de los usuarios)", lo que lo dice todo.
Después de la reacción, OpenAI está trayendo de vuelta 4o, como una opción opcional. Y juran que la próxima vez, al menos te advertirán antes de romper lo que funciona.

🚨 GPT-5 LAUNCH BLOWS UP IN OPENAI’S FACE
The reviews are in, and they’re brutal: users say GPT-5 is colder, dumber, and more boring than GPT-4o.
Complaints are piling up - from “robotic” personality and shorter, formulaic answers, to botched reasoning and choking on long docs.
Coding and creative writing? Reportedly worse.
Adding fuel: OpenAI killed older models without warning, slapped tighter usage caps on subscribers (200 “Thinking” messages a week), and left free users with just 10 before downgrading them.
The hype promised a leap forward. Many call it “shrinkflation” in AI form.
Even CEO Sam Altman admits launch day was “bumpy,” with a broken autoswitcher making GPT-5 “way dumber” than intended.
He’s now hinting GPT-4o might come back.
Too little, too late?
