The history of money is the history of civilization itself. Hard money has existed for at least 5,000 years, and by inscribing arbitrary data onto the species it recorded the age, origin, political leadership, numerical system, and even lingual/legal/cultural traits of its issuer. There’s significant value in immortalizing humanity’s past for the benefit of humanity’s future. Food for thought
