Is the outcome disappointing for Chema? Absolutely, ETH was definitely left on the auction floor, but who knows if as much as we think.
Moderates/Overflowing.eth saw art that they wanted, and immediately bid what he was willing to pay — what he valued it at. There was none of this “I was willing to spend up to 5 ETH!!”
In each auction Moderates won, they bid 2-4 ETH more than the current winning bid. He didn’t leave anything to chance.
THAT was pro-artist patronage, not these overly performative, “I would have paid more BUT for SuperRare” tweets.
Be honest, you wanted a bargain, you tried to game the auction waiting til the end, and you lost.
