Tom Lee is out here promoting $ETH as the stablecoins platform. Take a good long look at what our decentralized future is going to be. They are turning our networks into a private-market SWIFT or FedNow. Almost no one cares about economic freedom or decentralized, permissionless access. The only legal onchain service providers are going to be centralized entities. This is Corporate Internet 2.0. Cypherpunks are meeting the same fate as the techno counter-cultural Internet 1.0 pioneers.

US securities law needs to be completely deleted and restarted from first principles. Just consider that: 1. Securities laws were designed to protect consumers from fraud. 2. An entire industry (crypto, sorry frens), created tens of thousands of unregistered securities. 3. These were used to perpetrate the single greatest defrauding of consumers in human history. 4. Securities laws did not protect consumers nor were the perpetrators held sufficiently accountable. 5. ERGO SECURITIES LAWS ARE POINTNESS Why don't we just let people do whatever they want with securities? Who cares? The government should focus on the fraud instead. Putting unnecessary regulatory burdens around securities just stifles innovation, promotes oligarchic markets, and robs consumers and entrepreneurs of opportunity. *We're policing the innovators, not the criminals.*

Jim Chanos went on CNBC in 2022 to tell us he was short Coinbase and that he thought their business model was terrible. $COIN is up 600% since then. We ruined that man's career, didn't we? 😅

fwiw, I peaced out most of my crypto positions today. Maybe there are more gains ahead, but I prefer to stay focused on building unless the spot is superb. As far as macro outlook, the economy is clearly slowing, but the data still favors narrowly avoiding recession this year.

See alot of people talking about "locking in". Don't see alot of people making sacrifices, burning the bridges, and putting it all on the line.
