Last Friday we invited 30 student developers to the @eigenlayer office in Seattle to talk about building verifiable apps on @ethereum.
It was refreshing to see the majority of attendees came from outside the crypto space (Amazon, Microsoft, etc).
That felt like a win.
If we want to keep leveling up this industry, we need to expand beyond just the 25,000 devs in crypto and welcome the 25 million software engineers in the world.

Today, the @eigenfoundation proposes Programmatic Incentives v2, the next evolution of EigenCloud’s onchain reward engine.
☑️ 3% to ETH Stakers (no change)
☑️ 4% to EIGEN Stakers (up from 1%)
☑️ 1% to Ecosystem Growth (new)
Aimed at growing EIGEN staking & accelerating EigenCloud.
v1 rewards continue until v2 is accepted.

Today, the Eigen Foundation is excited to propose Programmatic Incentives v2, the next evolution of EigenCloud’s onchain reward engine.
Key proposed changes:
☑️ 3% to ETH Stakers & their Operators (no change)
☑️ 4% to EIGEN Stakers & their Operators (up from 1%)
☑️ 1% to Business Development & Ecosystem Growth Rewards (net new)
The update is designed to grow the EIGEN staking ecosystem and accelerate app innovation across EigenCloud.
Until a v2 proposal is accepted, Programmatic Incentives v1 rewards will continue to accrue indefinitely. Emitted v1 rewards do not expire.
We’re open to community feedback on how we might improve incentive mechanisms.
