Stakers used to look at basics like commission, yield and uptime to pick their validators. Those still matter but Solana has gotten much more complex and other metrics are equally important
We all want Solana to become decentralized NASDAQ ASAP. Many validators are helping while others are extracting from Solana users and hurting the Solana network for short-term yield gains
There are different mechanisms for this extraction but the result is they all slow down Solana. Artificial scarcity -> more rewards Are you content to earn 5bps of extra yield if that damages Solana's future?
Those trade-offs weren't visible until today with the release of a new dashboard that scores validators based on their block packing behavior
Note, there are some low-ranked validators that aren't doing this intentionally, especially on vote packing score. This is driven by geographic location or datacenter networking issues
Check the site today to see how your validator performs. We may not all be core devs but everyone can help push Solana forward. Where you stake matters

Imagine a world where you can actually see what’s happening inside a Solana block. Up until now this has largely remained a mystery, but that changes today! 𝗜𝗻𝘁𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗜𝗕𝗥𝗟 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗹𝗼𝗿𝗲𝗿! 🧵👇
I'll be doing more threads that help explain different validator profiles and their impact on Solana. But if you have questions in the meantime, ask here. It's complex but very important for Solana we stake with IBRL-aligned validators
