Czechia has become the first European country to experiment with a 150 km/h (93.3 mph) speed limit on selected highway sections. The pilot project started this summer between Tábor and České Budějovice on specific, well-developed highway sections equipped with variable traffic signs to adjust speeds based on conditions like weather or traffic density. While other European countries like Germany (no limit on some autobahn sections), Poland (140 km/h), and Bulgaria (140 km/h) have high speed limits, Czechia now has the record for the highest specific speed limit in Europe.
