This is such a dumb criticism of OpenAI by Dario, just because Sam Altman doesn't have a PhD in Biology doesn't diminish what OpenAI has done in science. If anything, OpenAI and Google have been the ones who have been driving advances in maths and OpenAI have been clearly ahead of others. I don't recall any scientists praising Anthropic models for some new advances nor we have seen Claude beating any science benchmarks. Anthropic doesn't even have a 'Deep Think' or 'Pro' level model where we saw these sorts of discovering emerge. I think it is great that Anthropic focuses on coding, but to diminish the work of others is not cool. Dario Amodei: "I think it has been a good year for both Google and Anthropic.
