Anecdotally, it seems that the rate of opening hedge fund offices in Dubai & Abu Dhabi has increased from last year (and last year had increased from the previous one). Rokos, Tyrus, Hudson Bay, QRT, Jane, Blue Crest, Arini, King St., Millennium, BAM. Also, this does not seem to be driven by quantitative strategies yet. Also, the offices are still small. My estimate is that D/AD employ 4% of the global HF workforce. I wonder whether, over the next 10 years, D/AD will make a dent in London and, to a lesser extent, Singapore, say 15-20%. Seems possible. In any event, remarkable.

Someone (can’t find the original!) posed the following problem here a few months ago; it was asked during a dinner as w conversation piece.
